Studying Revelation Vital For Our Happiness

The book of Revelation is the only book where Jesus Christ claims to be its author.
It is the only book promising a blessing for those who read in the opening and the closing chapter. When I was young, my father who was a minister of a charismatic church in Indonesia warned me that reading too much of the book of Revelation will make me crazy. I have been reading and studying the book of Revelation for more than fifty years and I am still sane and quite intelligent. I have been working as minister, teacher, tertiary college lecturer and writer in five different countries, learned 16 languages and can speak fluently in 8 or 9 of them.
The book of Revelation can be understood better if we compare it with the book of Daniel.
Jesus says about the book of Daniel: 15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand) Matthew 24:15.
Seeing how Jesus put a great emphasis in studying and the book of Daniel and Revelation in connection with the signs of the end, it will be well for us to start doing it.
